I've still got a pocket full of dreams while my hands are cold...
So I got back from Genova yesterday, a bit disappointed... I don't know if it's because it was a rough program (floorwork, cymbals and turn technique all at once) but I am feeling let down. Not feeling bad about myself but at one point the maestro had a crazy reaction because none of the 60 dancers present at the program knew how to answer to one of his questions... and because he was, well let's say, too mad about it I think. However I guess it's normal to find bumps in the road or people who try to test you to see how far you are willing to go... and we need to have faith only in ourselves to prove them wrong by proving ourselves that as long as we have faith in ourselves nobody can put us down. Nevertheless I took very few pictures because I was pale as a ghost due to tiredness... and today I am intelligently on planned vacation to get back on my feet nice and strong.

Thank goodness it's Friday!! although it's gonna be a very tough weekend as I am off to Genova for a 10-hour bellydance workshop with the great Maestro Yousef Constantino!! It's my fourth time going there as I am following a special training which lasts two years (I am exactly half way through). At the end of this cycle there will be a test and if I pass I become a recognized member of one of the greatest BD schools in the world, the Arabian Dance Company of Amir Thaleb in Argentina. Yeah, I know that this doesn't say much to you if you are not into the dance, but believe me it's a huge honor and also quite tough to do! As a matter of fact I hope I will be up to it, it would really be a huge achievement.
I am so damn tired, I just got back from the weekly advanced BD class and just got done packing my bag, now I have to take a shower and (ugh) wash and dry my hair... as I am definitely NOT a morning person I'd much rather stay up late than wake up at the butt crack of dawn when it's cold to get in the shower and spend a half hour blowdrying my hair. I just hope that I brought everything!! Camera is charging... I absolutely need to bring that as I often record clips of the steps so I don't forget them... plus pictures! there's always a good reason to take pictures :)
I am happy to be back, even if I have no clue whether anyone at all is reading me.... guess through time I totally lost my audience. Hugs and I'll check back Monday!
I am always here, often on facebook, working my ass off to make the end of the month. As it cound't get any worse we are in the middle of a huge economical crisis that is leaving people without a job or a home, thankfully I am hanging in tight and giving it my best to make it through. After more than two years of studying and designing I finally completed my design certificate and now, besides my heavy bellydance classes and work I would love to come back to the site to write, to spill my thoughts on a few lines like I did for years and like I haven't been able to do for the past 12 months.
I am not gonna think about tomorrow, at least not here. I am going to stop planning ahead and take it as it comes, writing whenever I feel the need about anything that's too heavy that I need to get off my chest. Welcome back to BubbleSnow.net 2.0.
