Ribbit

Last day of September, last day of the week, last 4 hours of the workday... and I am devastated. I'm just now getting over a flu I carried along since Monday by coming into work anyway, because my boss was here... thank heavens today I am feeling a lot better but still coughing away and sounding like a transsexual, how awful!

In addition, I feel that most people in my office are (rightfully) hating me because they caught the flu from me... all this is great cuz weekend is going to be spent at home with a box of tissues...

Tonight I am going out with my friend to watch "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," I really hope it's going to live up to my expectations, considering that the original version with Gene Wilder happens to be among my favorite movies ever! Somehow I just don't see hot Johnny Depp as weirdo Wonka but hey, I'm gonna give this a chance!

My office feels like a box right now, I swear, I wish I could pull out my ipod and start listening to my audiobook, I've been listening to "The Goddess' Rules," a chick book about  a normal girl her man puts down who meets this slutty older movie star who doesn't give a fuck about men and just uses them for sex... so she kinda becomes like her. It's not the best book ever but it's entertaining!

Lately I read Susan Elizabeth Phillip's "Match me if you Can" (AMAZING!!!) and "Ain't she Sweet" (cute) and I'd like to place a bid on a book lot by her on Ebay and read everything she's ever written... hot and funny!

I also read Sophie Kinsella's new "The Undomestic Goddess" and I didn't mind it... although I still this her best book is "Can you Keep a Secret".

I don't know why, sometimes I get into these chick flick/book moods... lately I've been reading nothing but fluff and am loving it! I get into these phases, I remember how around this time last year I was reading about 8 Agatha Christie books a month! I am sick :) and I love it!

Tomorrow I'm going to go to a day spa for a nice face treatment, that's my first time into that stuff and can't wait!

New design

All right, actually it's already Monday, and I shouldn't be awake at all... it's 12.30am and I got this urge to change the site's design... got a bit of my creative vein back... actually there's not much creative about this new design but I am happy with it, cuz it's all seasonish. Plus the Moulin Rouge soundtrack pretty much stimulated me through it... if I have time I'll write tomorrow otherwise I'll check in soon enough I've got a few things to get off my chest!!

Hip Hoppin' away

Since I haven't been updating this site you don't know that last week I signed up for the gym, 6 month membership that cost me half a monthly salary, anyways, I gotta do it for my health, knees and such.

I've been going a lot these days, so much that today I forbade myself completely to go because all I feel in my legs is pain. And after returning to acquagym, abs, legs and butt, stretching and other plain classes I decided I was going to try hip-hop... I've always wanted to try, cuz I hate the techno/house music they play in other classes.

Well, it's so friggin' hard! Yesterday, our first lesson, we started working on a choreography for Missy's "Lose Control" song and we were all kinda stumbling through it, plus my legs kept killing me due to previous workouts. The teacher looks like she's 18 years old, really cute and petite, white, of course, but I swear she moves like there's no tomorrow.

She told us that it was just going to be a first lesson to determine our abilities to catch on so not to worry and also to look at ourselves in the mirror and check our movements and their technicality rather than the style. And thank heavens she told us! I look of course like a white girl but also as a shapely Pee Wee Herman! At least I wasn't the only one who looked stupid, let's hope next week will be better! Thursday I'm going to start Latin American dance let's see how it is I am looking forward to it... the gym is so much fun!!!

Preggo scare

Ok, I am feeling a lot better, after taking a pregnancy test twice and finding out it's negative I'm now left to wonder why my period is two weeks late. I never skipped it once...

So I'm listening to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, it's so beautiful I love it... Fabio and I made up but we really hit some bumpy road... I think this is going to serve him in the future not to let family get in the way of our happiness. I love happy families but please, everyone else should just mind their own problems, not ours.

So I've been spending ages (at least the few free moments I have at home) to resize and organize my summer pictures, here they are.

Summer 2005 in Romagna and Sicily

We stayed at the beach house in Romagna for ten days or so... after getting rid of the usual closed-for-a-long-time-house dust we enjoyed ourselves with bicycle rides, excursions and (unfortunately due to shitty weather) 4 days at the beach... check out pictures!

Comacchio (FE)

This town is like a small Venice because it's built on water... very cozy and a lot of fun especially during local festivals.

Porto Garibaldi (FE) beach

The best time at the beach in my opinion is in the afternoon, when almost everyone has gone home... and we got to take a few shots to remember this crazy summer. Also, seagulls get very close to you in the early evening because they are on the lookout for food, what incredible creatures!

Mirabilandia adventure park (RA)

Despite the fact that I despise rollercoasters I actually got to enjoy myself, not when Fabio was forcing me to get on the rides. You will see a picture the camera took of me while I was going down the roughest hill of this average coaster... and I look like an 85 year-old who is looking straight into the eyes of death!!

Well, more pictures follow of the park's shows, attractions... and Fabio's obsession with cannons (what is it with men and cannons? Wait, nevermind...).

Leaving for home... see you very soon, Emilia Romagna!!

Brucoli Village (Sicily)

After the end of our Romagna vacation, a neverending week at work and a bunch of other drama we set off for this incredible resort in Sicily where Fabio played in the national tennis tournament... and he arrived 5th! I was happy for him, and as he played his matches I sometimes went to see him, other times I was busy with yoga, acquagym, latin american dances and trivial pursuit quizzes! Yes, we got to know Trivial Pursuit and LOVE IT!!

Here is the villaggio (resort) starting from beach and pool area and all the other pictures I took while on the way to our room...

Having the time of the day at the pool (pretending) to swim!

And here are my inspirations at the resort, the gym teacher Lidia (she was so toned not a gram of fat then I figured why, cuz she just never stops for a minute!!) and Chicco, the resort's top dancer... the guy dances in his sleep, I bet.

With chicco I got to play all group dances like "Parranda," "Annacate," "Il Ballo della Casalinga," "Il Ballo del Vampiro," and soooo many others it was fun! We also danced in the evening, you can see some crazy pics of me shakin' my ass (wait, I cropped my ass with Photoshop).

Well, you can tell by the photos we had a blast righ??

Sicily Beach (ME)

I spent my last day in Sicily after the resort with Fabio, we went with his motorcycle all over the place and then to the beach... I swear I didn't ask him to take the following pictures of me, he just took the initiative. I'm pretty confident nobody is going to stalk me with my jiggling love handles and cellulite... hehehe
