I really want this

It's not fair... I mean, I am a good person, I work hard for a bit of money, I never splurge on anything (at least I haven't been) and now I really want this game but it's too damn expensive. And just think here in Italy it's even more, almost 60 Euros (which is like 70 bucks). How can someone spend this much money and feel guiltless about it?

Why is it that my conscience stops me from buying this?

Well, it angers me that everyone is playing it except me and that being a big Sims fan since forever it really hurts me so... sigh...

Stomachache

So it's about 1,30am right now and I just got back home from dinner out. This weekend some really close family friends came to visit us from the U.S. so of course today I went to my mom's to have lunch together. It was great catching up and talking about the old times and their experience in Italy.

Then we went to the center of the city to show them the Duomo of Milan and also some of the shops that make my city so famous. We were even lucky to find a fashion show going on so they had a chance to take pictures.

After that we went all the way to Assago to meet some of their family members who are originally from Calabria. Boy we were like 30 people eating! We had a really nice time, if it wasn't for the fact that I ate so much food!

There were appetizers of ham, salame and bruschette followed by mussels, three different types of pasta, grilled fish and meat... man, even describing it doesn't demonstrate how much food it was!

On the way to my house I felt as if my stomach had been squished under a truck. I just took some baking soda and am burping like a mofo. But despite the stomachache it was a really fun day, I really hope that our friends from the U.S. will come to my wedding next year!

I am sitting in front of the computer getting ready to publish this log and am dead tired but am feeling like I have a brick instead of a stomach... so I think I'll just lay low before I lay down in bed. Good night!

For whom the bell tolls

Fabio and I are getting married on August 30th 2004 in this small church in Crespi D'Adda and we'll have the wedding reception in a beautiful CASTLE.

Even if this is going to be amazing for me I feel that some members of my family are already ruining this moment that is supposed to be wonderful.

I am at a point that I am tired of selfish relatives, I need to finally think about myself... the problem is that I am not able to be mean, as much as I try to be.

Work has been real hectic lately but thank goodness for that cuz it means I'm making some useful money.

I think I am in overdraft with the bank but I am afraid of checking cuz I know that will stop me from being able to sleep.

Let's just say that horoscopes were saying since the beginning of 2004 that it was going to be great when really it's still all a bunch of crap. I keep hoping for things to change... even if I have been long tired of waiting.

Moviewatcher

So I've been watching movies like crazy these past few days, here's a quick review of them:

- Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement - It was a cute little story to watch despite its unreality. So it's worth renting C+

- Spiderman 2 - Every review I've read was excellent but I really didn't find this sequel worthy of its praise... yes, it was nice but in my opinion not better than the original C

- The Prince and Me - I knew this was gonna be quite cheesy from the title but of course since I'm a hopeless romantic I enjoyed the flick. I just didn't like Julia Stiles in it, she was so much more fit for a part like "Save the Last Dance!" I just wish she had stuck to a higher standard B-

- 13 Going on 30 - Although I never really appreciated Jennifer Garner I really liked her in this film!! This modern day version of Tom Hanks' "Big" is so sweet I still have sugar stuck in my teeth... I loved it! A-

So tonight I'm gonna go out to have a pizza and this weekend I'll probably be at my parents' house out of town.

Still loving fairy tales?

It's quite sad... I will soon turn 24 and I still have some immature habits left in me.

For example, I still like cheesy Disney movies... I watched Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and even if I found it totally corny I enjoyed watching it and at the end when she is crowned (oooohh wow I totally ruined the "unexpected" ending) I feel all tingly.

Then last week my mom showed me this bag she found in the attic which contained my favorite Barbie and my adorable "Polly Pocket," little houses with little people contained in these heart shaped, colorful, plastic boxes. So I dressed up Barbie for the last time feeling quite ashamed but yet again justifying myself for the fact that even older people do it and call it "collecting."

Why is it that at a certain time in one's life things that were at first considered natural are now a taboo? The fact that I still need financial support from my parents, for instance.

Well, moving on to something else, I'm pretty sure that all the pictures that were on this site before the change of host are lost forever into internet oblivion. You may call me an idiot but:

1) the secondary hard drive that contained these images crashed 4 months ago

2) I had created this back up CD but I must have been trippin' on crack cuz it never recorded... I think it just stayed at the burning state and I didn't notice

So I am thinking about all those great pictures from high school and beyond... and I realize they are forever gone. I wish someone who had saved them sent them to me :( sigh but I don't think anyone did/will...

Tomorrow is time for work... I need to make some money...

Bingo... house found!

Appartamento DAfter a summerlong of disappointments and false hopes Fabio and I have found the house for us.

It's located 5 minutes from the center of the city and surrounded by trees and on a hill. They are still building though and it probably won't be ready for 1 year... yikes, well, I guess it's gonna be tough!

However we'd rather wait longer for a nice house than get a house that we don't fully like immediately.

The house is 95 square meters and there are two verandas outside, both 34 square meters.

There are computer images of what the houses will look like on their website, but it's all in Italian. Just look at the navigation below and click on "Immagini"

So blue

So if you see this site it means that I'm finally back... and pretty pissed off!!

After spending a great month and a half away from home I come back on to realize that asshole VIANUX went offline and along with it my entire site with the travel blog, many pictures and such that I had uploaded.

I am partly safe cuz thanks to God and conscience I backup however a lot of my writing is gone and for that I curse Vianux and its owners.

I'm on a new host now, and back with a new design. I wanted to keep it a lot more mellow than the previous designs to show you just how sad I am to be back in this crappy city.

I am uploading a bunchload of pictures of my vacation and a short description of what I've been up to... so stay tuned!!

BubbleSnow is on vacation! Check out my new blog while I'm away...

So I hate the fact that I had to turn my blog into one of these random, many other automatic writing sites with Graymatter, Wordpress and LiveJournal.

However next week I'll be leaving for Sicily and I'll be gone all through July and August.

Updating my blog will be possible with Wordpress because it's quick and easy to use.

But I'll miss updating manually... I really will... believe it or not.

GO TO MY (SIGH) WP JOURNAL

(opens in new window)

Otherwise scroll down...

So this is my schedule for the summer:

July

09- Taking the plane to Catania - arrival at 3pm

10- Leaving for Torre Normanna village

17- Leaving the village and going straight the the beach house- I'll be there until August 25 hopefully able to update once a while!

I know I'm gonna sound like a loser (wait, I AM A LOSER!) for saying this but damn I'm gonna miss the internet!!!!
