Jenni Hyun'z a starr!!

So check this out- I was browsin' around when I found this site that belongs to a girl who has an AMAZING voice... her name is Jenni Hyun. She is Korean American and was even the winner of the Wannabe Christina Aguilera contest on MTV... you can see videos of her and such!

And I stuck around her site for a while... cuz really, I think someone should give this girl a tight recording contract!! I mean, she's Christina Aguilera material here!! And what's a huge plus is the fact that she loves Mariah!

If you also click here you'll be taken to a really funny site "Wannabe Jenni" where people actually tried to cover her songs... some of them are really good but others... bwahahhaa!! Now don't call me mean, just trying to keep it real!

This girl here is definitely worthy of some recognition... so go see her site now!

The Friday 5

I know it's 2 days late, but here's my answer to the Friday 5:

1. Do you wear any jewelry? What kind?

Mostly white gold stuff, for some reason I find yellow gold tacky... but I wear that anyways. I can't wear non-gold/platinum jewelry because I am allergic.

2. How often do you wear it?

If it's small and easy to keep on I don't take it off. If it's not, I wear it whenever I remember to.

3. Do you have any piercings? If so, where?

Just my ears... I'm a pretty old fashioned gal, otherwise known chicken sh**.

4. Do you have any tattoos? If so, where?

No tattoos- me pussy.

5. What are your plans for the weekend?

Since I'm answering on Sunday, I can say what I did end up doing and totally erase the thought of my former plans to avoid total depression.

My plans are to be sick and be unable to leave the house or even sit in front of the computer for long amounts of time without feeling like fainting... fun huh?

What a sleepy day!

So it's 10,00pm right now and I am still feeling like crap. I have been sleeping on and off all day long because I'm taking those flu pills that make you just plain pass out!

Anyhowz, hope you all have been having a good weekend! Sorry if my writing hasn't been all that interesting lately but if you had a look at my face you would understand why.

Tomorrow and Monday are going to be the last day of relax, because Tuesday is back to work full force!

Btw, did you check out my resume' section yet? I have to work on it a bit, I want it to be done in flash but I have forgotten virtually everything new I had learned before the summer so I will have to take some time to brush up on stuff. Ta-ta for now!

Sick

Yo, it's 1,50am and my ass is sick... I feel like a friggin' elephant has been sitting on my throat all day! It all started when I went to work yesterday and one of my coworkers kept coughing like a madman... so suddenly both my coworker and I started feeling like poopie... and here I am now.

So I got home and took some flu pills, just had some hot milk and cookies and started watching Shallow Hal. I'm laying on the couch nice and toasty and sooner than you know it I turn off the movie halfway and fall asleep... at 7,00pm!! Woke up at 10,00pm, went to bed and woke up at 1,00am... and here I am now, writing this blog.

Dammit, I haven't been sick in a while! The last time I was sick was around my college graduation in May, I remember having a temperature of 99 the day before the ceremony and I was in bed shaking my ass off... but for the fever, not in the Mystikal way!

By the way, I didn't show you my new mousepad! I have been looking for this darn thang everywhere, it's a slice of bread with Nutella on it. If you click on it you'll be taken to the website with other cool mousepads depicting other kinds of food and cute animals and such :)

I do hope I feel better by tomorrow because I intend to work more on my Resume' section. I am thinking about making a flash site for it. Well, we'll see how it goes... my mother is like "don't worry, you'll feel great tomorrow... ha!!!"

A bit fuc*ed up

Yap, it's 6,35 here in Italy and the first day of 2003 is almost over... not like I got to do much considering the fact that I woke up at 4pm this afternoon.

champagne_glasses_confetti_md_wht.gifMy lazy, hungover ass just opened up her eyes and decided to grace 2003 with its own presence- and I have been doing crap until now.

Lemme tell ya, last night I had so much fun! I got to my friend Sara's house at 7 and found everyone cooking. I was like oh shit now I have to actually poison them with my cooking? But it was actually really fun!

Some of the kids had bought a lot of food: 3 boxes of fettuccine, two of penne, a bag of lentils, two zamponi (Italian New Year's Eve is made up of a crazy ass night in which we eat mad pasta, lentils and pig- Zampone- it's like a big sausage) mad vegetables, dessert and $85 worth of alcohol (from Rum, to Tequila, to Gin, to Champagne...).

We made apetizers with toasted bread with ham, others with salmon and butter. Then there were two different kinds of pasta dishes... the preparations to the dinner went great.

But when we got to the lentils we were so fuckin' full that we couldn't even stand up!

My drunk ass drank 4 glasses of Champagne, 2 shots of Tequila and two of Rum. fireworks_big_burst_md_wht.gifI guess you can imagine how I felt 10 minutes before 2003... my ass was almost passed out on the couch when we all had to go downstairs with even more bottles of champagne to countdown in the middle of the street, where there were more people throwing firecrackers and such. I dunno if it was the booze or what but I felt like I could have gone out in underwear and not have felt the winter wind!

So we got back upstairs, drank more booze (those madmen took another shot of Tequila, I would have rather accepted a shot in the head) and around 1,30 we left the house to go to some party.

The only thing about it that I didn't like was the Ska music and the gay wait outside in the cold to get in. But it WAS fun when they played Gloria Gaynor's amazing "I Will Survive" and screamed out the words in celebration of the new year. The song reminded me of my sorority parties, it was our anthem!

We stayed at the party for a while, dancing and almost starting a fist fight with this fat cow who kept bouncing her jell-o ass against my hips.

Got home at 5,30... with a HORRIBLE HEADACHE, the drunkenness was now down to my toes but on the way home I couldn't move my head to the left cuz I felt like throwing up the entire meal plus breakfast.

Just took time to remove the make-up and accurately wash my face (MUST TAKE CARE OF MY SKIN!!) and went into bed, it felt sooo good, but then again I had to use two pillows cuz I seriously felt like puking.

But it was all funnnn!

I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve. I hate New Year's Eve yet I had so much fun! :)

Thanks guys!

I wanted to thank the many of you who e-mailed me with compliments on the new magazine section, your positive feedback really meant a lot to me!
Besides being back at work and coming home late, I have been working on the new Mariah Crybaby section. I will soon launch a brand new design that I hope will improve the look of the most visited section at bubblesnow.net.

Also, stay tuned for a February design of this home page!

I know I haven't checked in for a while now, but ever since I started working again I have been trying to catch up with my hectic schedule. You know, after staying home for the Christmas holidays and two weeks sick it's difficult to wake up in the freezing cold morning!!! However things are slowly going back to normality, and that makes me happy because I freak out whenever I don't have a solid grip on the situation.

I'll check back in soon so till then ... HOLLA!

About Baby names

So the other day I was on the bus on my way home and an old lady came on with her two nieces and they were so adorable. One of them had brown short hair, bright eyes and a cute little nose- she kind of reminded me of my future child... is that possible?
I know to some of you I might sound like a lunatic but I felt so weird when I saw her! and her grandmother called her over ... her name is Aurora.
Now wow! Aurora is an amazing friggin name!! and not the way Americans pronounce it "Ohrorou" but really, just AURORA. Wow!
This completely did it for me! and here is ultimate baby name selection:
If it's a boy: Daniele, Gianluca
If it's a girl: Susanna (or Suzanne), Aurora

Now don't think I am already thinking about popping out kids, cuz I am so not ready for that, but I swear I think those above are just about the best damn names in the world!
My family tells me that there were three top names picked out for me: Federica, Barbara and Giorgia.
The first was picked by my aunt and thank goodness because I totally love me name, the second one I believe was picked out by my dad (I think it's aight) and the third was my mom's choice (she was in love with Ray Charles' song "Georgia on my Mind"- I guess she didn't understand that it was about a state, not a girl- but I find it a beautiful choice)

I remember when I was in the US I was always asked to give my middle name- dammit, I don't have one! I always wanted to have one but I guess my family thought that my first and last name are just long enough.

So I just wanted to share this beautiful discovery with you- I think Aurora is such a pretty name... I really hope I remember it when I'm actually pregnant and such!

HUGGZZ and check in tomorrow- peace

Final Destination-like
Just a quick log; I just got done reading a yahoo article
(http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030126/ap_on_re_us/planes_collide_18)
reporting that a kid who had survived the Columbine shooting was killed in a plane crash.
Now damn, I thought to myself, that's friggin spooky!! Talk about being destined to die! I thought about that great movie "Final Destination" in which kids who survive a plane crash by not getting on the ill-fated plane eventually die as death hunts them down one by one.

I cannot believe that this kid died, after he survived the Columbine shooting. I mean, one thinks "I have just had a near-death experience, which is pretty rare, what chances do I have that something like this happens to me again?" Well, pretty darn huge I reckon!

Anyways, my prayers go to this kid and his family. Death really cannot be stopped or avoided, so I guess I tell ya live your life to the fullest cuz, not to sound spooky, if we are meant to die we will no matter what we do.

Gotta go now, will holla at you soon enough...

That damn trolley

Today there was a damn strike for public transportation and my ass had to get up an hour early so that I could get to work! I just don't understand, in this country they always go on a strike!
I mean, that darn public trolley never gets to my stop anyways, so might as well declare an eternity on strike, since my ass often has to walk home!

What's is incredibly spookey is the fact that I just found out there will be a Final Destination 2 (!!!) so damn, my last blog really was a coincidence! and I swear, I had no idea that movie was coming out because, ya know, here in Italy movies get here a lot later than the U.S.. I know just now they are showing "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" at the theatres when it's almost coming out on DVD in America.

I find this greymatter thing quite frustrating because since I am not a big guru of HTML I find myself limited to post simple text and such, no links, no pictures. I know that if my ass ain't gonna read the darn instructions ain't no way I'm gonna learn right? so I'm gonna give this thing one more chance and see what goes on... if I learn good if not I guess we're going back to the old way. But it WOULD BE sad indeed.

I know this blog kinda sucked but it's aight, cuz I have been working on the design of February's BubbleSnow... have you seen the new Mariah section?
