Sicily- Torre Tormanna (PA)/Letojanni (ME)

We started our first week's vacation at an all-inclusive resort near Palermo called Torre Normanna. It was great! We couldn't have had a better time...

Here's the resort:

She was our neighbor and one night kicked out her husband and made him sleep outside-- she was a wild animal!

The food was delish! So much for dieting :(

The animation was great-- these guys were really talented!

And here's Fabio playing tennis for his UISP tournament... too bad he lost :(

But this was not gonna stop him from doing his usual annoyingly heavy sports routine and he got involved with everything... from soccer to water polo to archery- and a lot (sigh) a lot more.

This is me dressed up to inaugurate the resort's Olympic games- our team (Red) won! But Fabio had to pay a price for that, read on...

He got elbowed in the nose - here's the shot before the accident (looks like he knew it was about to happen)

And he got a black eye which stayed with him two weeks-- at least he won a medal-- sigh. And that night we played the couples game and got kicked off after the first challenge. He didn't have strength in his nose to blow up this balloon. He practiced all night long tho:

And hey! We even did this dance with our Olympic team Oh Susanna lol it was a blast!

The entire tennis group before we left (notice I retouched one picture to cover Fabio's black eye) because I really like it...

We took the following pictures on my first (and last) visit to the Isola Bella and the Blue Cave (we went with Giovanna- Fabio's sister- and her husband Nino and son Samuele). Our boat was so small and the waves were so strong that I didn't know whether to cry or puke. But nevertheless it was an experience to remember...

Fabio up close and personalBefore the "seastorm"We put Sam in there on purpose :)With Giovanna... she was also scared but not like me...

He's gonna drive girls crazy someday!I am such a good photographer! ;-)

A forced smile after the scariest wave came into the boatFabio and Samuele taking a dip near Isola Bella

And here's when my dad, Paola, Stefania and I went out to eat... I was sporting a new haircut... too bad I can't keep it up now.

We had an amazing time here, at the Gole D'Alcantara. Scary ass caves with the COLDEST water you will ever find. The deeper you venture into the caves and the colder the water gets... many people were in fact using scuba gear. If you see our faces a bit doped up that's cuz of the water!!

The warning sign...

Getting splashed... FREEZING!!!

A bunch of shots we took at the beach...

The evening before I left we went to this great pizzeria in Taormina... and we took our last summer shots together... till next year!!
